We believe that youths are the future leaders of tomorrow and we cannot preach development in the absence of the youths. They need to get the information at a very early age so that they can prepare for what is coming. We prepare the youths to meet the challenges in climate change and how they can overcome them through skill training programs and mentorships.
DAYS FOR GIRLS
This is one of the mentorship programs where we mentor girls on how to use the fabric sanitary pads. It comes to our notice that a lot of girl students absent themselves from school when seeing their menstruation period, most of them cannot afford to buy the non-fabric sanitary pads and it became a very big challenge for them. The non-fabric sanitary pad is also not environmental friendly as it causes a lot of pollution in our environment. The non-fabric sanitary pad is a single use product and they don’t decay easily. Women initiative Gambia introduced the fabric sanitary pads which are affordable and reusable. Watch video
